zkSync, a Layer 2 scaling solution that enhances the Ethereum blockchain using zk-rollup technology, has made a significant announcement. The platform has successfully deployed the v24 version on its mainnet to provide users and developers with exclusive features, aiming to enhance their experience. This exciting update was shared on the official zkSync account on X.
The mainnet deployment of v24 is now complete! The platform highlighted that it has enabled deposits and withdrawals through the zkSync local bridge after a temporary suspension of up to 24 hours. During this time, third-party bridges were allowed to be used. Prior to this, on the 5th of the month, the company confirmed the completion of the upgrade review, paving the way for its deployment.
The latest upgrade introduces various improvements designed to enhance performance and user experience. Notably, it includes enhancements in smart contract operations and security protocols, ensuring a reliable and secure infrastructure to support decentralized applications built on zkSync. This unique update marks the transition of zkSync v24 from the testing phase to production.
The focus of the upgrade is to enhance the developer and user experience. Over the past month, the platform has announced multiple delays in the deployment of the upgrade. Additionally, hardware teams were invited to participate in the prover network of zkSync Era, which is expected to play a crucial role in the operation of zk rollups.
The platform emphasized that this operation will be fully censorship-resistant. Furthermore, consumers were encouraged to explore the exclusive ZK consumer dashboard, allowing them to monitor their current allocation amount and participate in ZkEVM Quests.
