Taiwanese-American artist and businessman Jeffrey Huang, also known as Machi Big Brother, has been heavily investing in the cryptocurrency $FRIEND. According to Lookonchain, a well-known on-chain analytics platform, Huang has been acquiring $FRIEND coins since May 3rd. The analytics company made this information public on their official X account.
Machi Big Brother, under the handle @machibigbrother, has been steadily purchasing $FRIEND tokens, spending a total of 4,975 $ETH (equivalent to $15.6 million) to acquire 8.6 million $FRIEND coins at an average price of $1.81. Unfortunately, with the current value of the token, Huang has incurred a loss of approximately $7.9 million on his $FRIEND investment.
Huang, who is also a member of the hip-hop group “Machi,” first delved into Esports after Taipei Assassins claimed the Season 2 World Championship. This led him to establish Machi E-Sports in 2014, which quickly gained international recognition as one of the top teams in the world. In 2017, Huang ventured into the world of cryptocurrency with Mithril, participating in a project that experienced significant team diversity and price fluctuations.
Despite his successful ventures in Esports and cryptocurrency, Huang’s recent investment in $FRIEND has not yielded the desired results, resulting in a substantial financial loss for the entrepreneur.
