Cronos zkEVM blockchain has recently unveiled an exciting initiative. The Pioneer Program is designed to reward early adopters for their activities on Cronos zkEVM and engagement with decentralized applications (dApps), aiming to benefit and incentivize the Cronos community.
The Pioneer Program, introduced ahead of Cronos zkEVM’s mainnet launch slated for the third quarter of this year, will roll out in phases over the coming weeks. It features various social and community-oriented tasks, allowing participants to earn loyalty points while familiarizing themselves with Cronos zkEVM’s services and functionalities.
Participants can accrue points by using dApps within the ecosystem. Engagement with these decentralized applications not only grants additional token rewards but also enhances benefits for point holders in CRO, Cronos zkEVM’s native token, and native dApp coins.
The platform introduces three layers of yield opportunities for crypto assets like CRO. The first layer involves staking rewards, provided natively for holding zkCRO and other liquid-staked tokens. The second layer encompasses DeFi yields generated by diverse protocols within the ecosystem. The third layer includes supplementary yields derived from active participation in dApps.
Ken Timsit from Cronos Labs commented on the significance of the mainnet launch and the Pioneer Program, highlighting its contribution to improving the testnet and acknowledging the community’s anticipation.
In preparation for the mainnet release, Cronos zkEVM is launching the Passage campaign in collaboration with Veno Finance, starting on July 4th and continuing until the mainnet launch. This campaign allows users to earn points by staking and locking CRO tokens into bridge contracts supported by Veno Finance on Ethereum.
