The company has become the launch partner of Anime Foundation, a community culture platform that spans both Web3 and Web2. This exciting development was revealed through Animoca Brands’ X account.

In addition to this, Animoca Brands has published a blog post detailing this development. The company emphasized that the initiative involves MyAnimeList, San FranTokyo, Animoca Brands Japan, and Animoca Brands. Through this collaboration, exclusive experiences and opportunities will be provided to fans and creators.
Furthermore, the partnership is expected to bring advancements for intellectual property holders, studios, and brands and projects inspired by manga and anime worldwide. This strategic partnership follows Animoca Brands Japan’s JPY¥300M investment into MyAnimeList, the largest manga and anime community database and site with 16 million registered members.
Additionally, Anime Foundation plans to establish a strategic partnership with Mocaverse, a prominent growth forum. Mocaverse consists of an infrastructure layer that deals with PointFi, Reputation, Identity, and Account systems with interoperability, with Animoca Brands as the seed investor. This strategic collaboration will leverage the recently unveiled Realm Network SDK from Metaverse for the launch of Anime ID.
The main goal of this initiative is to bridge the gap between the traditional anime market and Web3 communities. Anime ID serves as a decentralized identifier and reputation layer, facilitating the onboarding of the Web3 ecosystem. Animoca Brands aims to enhance fan experiences and strengthen the global manga and anime culture through this endeavor. Anime ID will play a central role in the operations of Anime Foundation, providing cutting-edge monetization models.
