Orbit Chain Hacker Transfers 8671 $ETH to Tornado Cash
Arkham revealed that the hacker had stolen a substantial sum of almost $100 million from Orbit Chain. Following this, the hacker remained inactive for a period of five months, presumably to avoid detection. However, the hacker has now made a sudden transfer of $32 million to Tornado Cash.
The analytics firm reported that the hacker is currently in the process of depositing the funds into Tornado Cash. It was disclosed that the hacker had stolen over $100 million in assets including $DAI and $ETH. Five months ago, the stolen assets also included $WBTC, $USDC, $DAI, $USDT, and ETH.
The Hacker Still Retains Over $88M in $USDT, $DAI, and $ETH
The breach was attributed to security vulnerabilities related to private keys. The hacker has now moved 8671 $ETH coins to the crypto mixer. Currently, the hacker still holds more than $66 million in $ETH, as well as over $20 million in $USDT and $DAI.
